Be-Do-Have

“You have to be before you can do, and do before you can have.” –Zig Ziglar

Be-Do-Have, yes, that’s this week’s message. I bring it to you as I reflect on the vision board event my good friend and colleague Kathy Mela and I hosted earlier this week.

As Kathy and I were preparing for the event, we knew we wanted to do an exercise for the participants ahead of time to get them thinking, reflecting, and more prepared. This way when they arrived they could hit the ground running with their vision board.

We were so excited. Both Kathy and I love to learn and share. We both came up with extensive questionnaire’s ready to go for our participants.

In a moment of clarity, it dawned on us, what is it we really want for ourselves and for others? Who are we being? What are we doing? What are we having? (The be-do-have concept is not our own. You can google plenty about it online.)

Again, it was simple, who are we being? When we are clear on who we are being, what are we doing? What are our absolute yes’s? Once you know who you are being and what you are doing, then you can be more clear on what you are having because of the first two steps. Having, by the way, could be the feelings you are having not necessarily the material things.

I would love to know your thoughts about Be-Do-Have. Feel free to email me at info@ninaobier.com
