A Brain That Is Trained

A Brain That Is Trained

“You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose!” Dr. Seuss

Recently I was traveling with my daughters softball team. One of her team mates was not happy with her performance and asked if I could give her a “pep talk” What I have learned is it certainly helps when someone believes in us and says the right words. The key is we must believe it too. WE must be saying the right words to ourselves.

Do you listen to the way you talk to yourself? Honestly, would you ever talk to someone like that? The power is in our brain. I have been studying alongside Dana Wilde of The Mind Aware now for at least 5 years. She has a best selling book on Amazon “Train Your Brain” and she will be featured in an upcoming film with other famous brain trainers later this year.

Much of her training is based on mantras or affirmations. What she finds is that many people find it hard to say mantras in the beginning as they may not fully believe the statement. In the meantime, she encourages you to do a transitory statement.

I have included a link to her workbook on transitory statements that I found online. I truly believe it is worth downloading!

Now, inquiring minds want to know, what are your thoughts about training your brain? Do you have a fabulous tip for our community? Share your thoughts and ideas on our fan page, or twitter

Until next time….I am Nina Obier- Your Leadership Liaison, the link between where your INFLUENCE is and where YOU want it to be.
